Border gavaskar tropy history

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is a cricket series played between India and Australia. It was named after two of the greatest batsmen in the history of Indian and Australian cricket, respectively: Sunil Gavaskar and Allan Border.

The first Border-Gavaskar Trophy was played in 1996 and since then, the two teams have played each other in multiple series, with Australia winning the most number of series (13 out of 24 as of 2021). India have won 6 series and 5 have ended in draws.

Some of the memorable moments in the history of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy include India's historic 2-1 series win in Australia in 2018-19, Australia's 4-0 whitewash of India in 2011-12, and India's famous 2-1 series victory in Australia in the 2007-08 season.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy remains one of the most fiercely contested cricket rivalries and is always eagerly anticipated by cricket fans around the world.
