Indira Gandhi Nahar Project(IGNP)?

 IGNP stands for Indira Gandhi Nahar Project. It is a multipurpose water project located in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The project was launched in 1958 and completed in 1987.

The primary objective of the project is to provide irrigation facilities to the farmers in the arid region of western Rajasthan, which is known as the Thar Desert. The project also aims to provide drinking water to the people of the region, as well as generate hydroelectric power.
