Sachin Pilot Biography
Sachin Pilot is an Indian politician and a former Deputy Chief Minister of the state of Rajasthan. He was born on September 7, 1977, in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, into a political family. His father, Rajesh Pilot, was a well-known politician who served as a Union Minister in the Indian government.
Sachin Pilot completed his schooling from Air Force Bal Bharati School, New Delhi, and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from St. Stephen's College, Delhi. He then pursued an MBA from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
After completing his education, Sachin Pilot joined the Indian National Congress party in 2002 and was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Dausa constituency in Rajasthan in 2004. He was re-elected in 2009 and was appointed as the Minister of State for Communications and IT in the central government. In 2013, Sachin Pilot was appointed as the President of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee and led the party to victory in the 2018 Rajasthan state assembly elections.
In December 2018, Sachin Pilot was appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan under Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. However, in July 2020, he was involved in a political dispute with the Chief Minister and was subsequently removed from his position as Deputy Chief Minister and as the President of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee.
Sachin Pilot is known for his dynamic leadership style and is considered to be one of the rising stars of the Indian National Congress. He is also an avid sports enthusiast and has played for the Delhi cricket team in the Ranji Trophy. He is married to Sarah Pilot, and the couple has two children
