Mahal Khas was used as the administrative center of the fort and has several offices and rooms that were used by the officials. Moti Mahal is a beautiful palace that was used as the residence of the queen, and Kishori Mahal was used as the residence of the princesses.

Apart from these structures, the fort also has a museum that showcases a collection of artifacts, paintings, and sculptures related to the history and culture of the region. The fort is surrounded by a moat and has two gates - Ashtdhaatu (eight-metal) gate and Chowburja (four-pillared) gate. The fort's sturdy structure is famous for withstanding several attacks from British, Marathas, and Mughals.
